春一番が吹いた

今年も春一番が吹いた。日本海上を温帯低気圧が発達しながら東進。南風が吹き、気温も比較的寒くない一日であった。

去年も春一番が吹いたときは、このブログに記事を書いたのだが、その記事を見てみると、2月１4日に吹いているようだ。成田空港のMETARではLight Blowing Dust（-BLDU）も観測されていた模様。

再度「春一番」の定義を言うと、立春から春分までの間に吹く強い南風（8m/s以上）の最初のものを言う。

ちなみに、今日の成田空港のMETARを見てみる。

午後3時あたりが風がもっとも強くて、南西風18ktガスト29ktとなっている。約9m/sの風で最大15m/sくらい吹いていたということ。ちなみに、空港周辺でまたもやBlowing Dust（VCBLDU）が観測されている。あの辺は畑などが多いから、やっぱり土埃の影響受けやすいのだろうか。また、1000ft以下でRunway 16Rにアプローチする777機がModerate Turbulenceの報告をしています。

冒頭の速報天気図は午後3時のものだけど、寒冷前線が通過して、関東地方はまたちょっと寒くなるのであろうか。

やっぱり、こういう日は家でじっとしているに限ります。

前線の南下

今日、3時ごろ日本に着いたら異常に蒸し暑かった。ホノルルと変わらないくらい。今夜は寝苦しいかな、と思っていたら、夜になり急に冷たい風が吹き始めた。

前線が通過したようだ。別に珍しい気象ではないが、今日の通過は体感的に分かりやすかったのでデータを見てみた。

昼間は南から暖湿流が流れ込んで気温も湿度も非常に高かった。東京湾沿いにある我が家にも、窓を開けることができないくらい強烈な南風が吹き付けていた。が、夜9時から10時にかけて前線が南下したようで、今（夜12時）窓を開けると冷たい北風が吹き込んでくる。

地上天気図を見てみると、15時と21時で前線が南下している、ちょうど21時に関東上空に前線があるので、このころ通過したものと思われる。弱い雨も降ったようだ。

もっと具体的に、成田空港の20時と20時30分のMETARを比べてみる。

どうやら、前線通過は20時から20時30分の間のようだ。風向きが南西から北（200から8KT→010から20KT）に変わり風速も強くなっている。また、通過に伴い、雨（-SHRA：弱いしゅう雨）も降ったようだ。そして、気温を見てみると26℃から19℃と、わずか30分の間に7℃も低下している。

通過前と後の天気図も付しておく。

梅雨時期は、このような前線の位置により、涼しかったり蒸し暑かったり、が繰り返される。

九州・四国・中国地方で入梅

気象庁は２９日午前、九州、四国、中国地方で一斉に梅雨入りしたとみられると発表した。今年はいつになく早い。太平洋高気圧の勢力が強く、前線を北上させたためなのだそうだ。

これが今日の地上天気図。中国内陸部から上海付近を通り、日本の日本海沿岸に添う形で前線が延びている。500hPa高層天気図を見れば分かるように、上海付近では、北西風と南西風の弱い収束場となっている（ちょっと見にくいが）。この合流場が中国大陸から西日本にかけての梅雨前線を形成している。ここにはないが、500hPa風・相当温位図を見れば、前線帯と相当温位の密な部分が重なっているのがわかるとおもう。

この合流、西から来る季節風がヒマラヤ山脈で分断され、一方は南アジアを通って高温多湿に、他方はチベット高原を抜け、乾燥した空気と鳴っている。この性質の違う二つの流れが合流することにより前線を形成している。

一方、東日本の梅雨前線は様相が違ってくる。大陸から流れ込む空気と、太平洋高気圧の西の縁を北上してくる暖湿流がぶつかることにより梅雨前線が発生する。

これら二つの地域の前線の成因の違いは、梅雨時期の雨の降り方に現れる。例えば、西日本の梅雨はザーザー雨、東日本ではしとしと雨、というふうに。
