別府でフグ、関アジ・関サバ三昧

別府に一泊旅行に行ってきた。別府は母方の実家で、何度も行ったことがあるのだが、今回はいいお店を紹介してもらった。

「されど　屋台」という名前のお店。といっても店構えから、「ここ？」といった感じ。看板など一切なく、普通に戸を開けて入っていく。知る人ぞ知る、といった感じ。実際、知らない人はまず来ないし（おそらく気づかない）、一見さんお断り的な店（"一見さんお断り"などというのは俺もなんとなく好きじゃないし、ご主人もそんな感じだったので、あくまでも"的"）。

でふぐである。大分では臼杵のフグが有名であるが、今回は別府。まず突き出しにふぐの白子豆腐やニコゴリ、白子入り茶碗蒸し。うまい。そして、大きな関アジ、ふぐ刺しにふぐのから揚げ、ふぐちりを食した後、雑炊。そしてなぜか非常にスパイシーでうまいカレーライスで締める。

特に、大分で食べるふぐ刺しは絶品。ここだけは確か条例化何かでふぐの肝を食べることを許可されているらしいのだが、ふぐの肝をポン酢に溶かして、それに刺身をつけて食べるのだ。肝がこってりしていて最高である。ふぐって肝がなければおいしさ半減以下である。マジでうまい。

この店、大将もなかなか頑固者といった風情。恰幅のいいおっちゃんで、頭はつるっぱげ。話すと大分弁でいい人である。アントニオ猪木なども来るそうだ。

翌日の昼は「松風」という小料理屋でまたもや関アジ・関サバを食す。ここは会社の同期で以前別府旅行した時にもお世話になったお店。やっぱり関アジ・サバは、食感がいい。ゴリゴリといった感じで東京湾あたりの軟派なアジ・サバとは締まり方が違う。更に環八などのお刺身も頂き、本当に満腹。

超贅沢な一泊旅行であった。やっぱり大分は海の幸がうまい。
